Pain Management Course

Hi all.
I thought I would let you know that I have been doing an on line Pain Management Course, it was sorted out by my pain clinic, as the constant pain had been causing me to really get stuck in a rut, and I needed some extra help.
I have done 23 stages with one more to go, and I must admit family members have noticed quite a bit that im less irritable, sleeping better, relaxing more, getting a lot less stressed, and im feeling more confident in myself, and feeling less useless ( I know its daft but I have still been adjusting to the way my joints now operate), they can safely stay in the room without fear of saying the wrong thing and getting me mad or upset.
I must say it should be compulsarary to everyone, I have been doing the online version of it as I cant do the course at a venue because of work times, the pain clinic thought this would help me, and blooming heck it has made a lot of difference to my daily life, I actually look forward to getting out of bed, for a change that is.
this course challenges everything about yourself, and through the relaxation and a kind of self hypnosis exercises, it helps you to realise you can improve things and helps you to do just that,
It stops you thinking in a negative way and I am now a better person in myself now, im happier and now accept that I cant do all the things I try, but I do more things now as it teaches you how to break into manageable chunks any tasks you do.
I even found out that it costs about £140, and its worth every single penny of it. I feel a whole new person through this course and it gave me the badly needed kick up the backside.
I wish I could have done this course 5 years ago, it would have helped through the very steep learning curve that Arthur causes.

Hi all,
I would honestly love to put the link on here, but unfortunately there is no way I can get it done being as the pain clinic set it all up and I was sent an activation code thats linked directly to my email address.
It was sorted out and funded by the pain clinic, thank heavens for that as I didnt have that kind of money spare either, and its run by the kent community health.
it has quite a few audio relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, visialising you are in a secret garden and you box up your pain and shove it into the furthest corner so you are able to relax with the surroundings they talk you through, and teach you how to pace yourself starting with a few minutes a day of something that you want to do and find difficult and to increase that by about 5 minutes every 3 days to gradually build up your resistance to the pain caused by whatever you want to do.
All I can suggest is maybe your doctor, specialist or pain clinic advisor could make it available to you.
Sorry I cant be of more help, I even tried going back on some of the older login dates to see if I could link up that way, but it doesnt let you go back, it stays on the next session due.
