Hi all just thought i would update you on my ESA , as we all know things are achanging in April , i have just had a call from the employment dept , with regards to where i stand ,as my hubs claims pension credit which is income related it sounds straight forwards , i will recieve a letter around the 9TH April , that we send to the pensions so they know the date my Esa stops , recieve another letter after the 30th April saying it has stopped , send that one as well , they will keep paying credits for my pension as long as i go to medicals and stuff as sent for and pass , i know this info might not be of use to many but is a worry of my head x
I know i am a lady ,all life is a journey xx MAY xx

I'm glad that you know where you are headed and yes, that must be a relief - may I suggest you keep a copy of all the letters you receive before sending them on to others? That way you have evidence if there are any problems: that's a gloomy take on this, I know, but with the slapdash beaurocracy nowadays well, you cannot be too careful. Good luck! DD

Hi Berty. Keeping copies is a must I'm afraid, they are utterly useless at these places and any delays effect you a damn sight more than them.. I'm at least glad you know where you are with things.

Dont know if this is any help but im having the same problems. I have spent a hour on the phone this morning trying to sort it out (needless to say im stressed to bits and my glands have now swollen up so im awaiting another flare up)

Anyway I spoke to DWP and basically was told tough my ESA is getting stopped, Im not entitled to any contrabutions being paid and I cant claim job seekers cos im incapable of work! Not exactly sure how the hell im supposed to live now but hey

Spoke to citizens advice and Ive got an appointment on Thurs to see if i can appeal not sure if I can like

Soooo fed up cant belive you can get a letter just because you been ill for 365 days your now on your own. This illness is bad enough without the DWP making you feel like you should crawl under a stone and forcing you to go back to work.

Ill let you know how I get on x
