POCKET DUTIES PLEASE

Hi,
I have a "day operation" on Friday 8am. At least thats what they called it.
I dont quite know what to expect....he said it was aspiration of the hip {one that has had the THR}
I dont know a lot else so i would appreciate some support on Friday please.
All animals, crutches/walking aids etc welcome :lol:

    I wish you all the best on Friday and hope it goes well and helps you/helps find out what the problem may be.

    I am off for a half day at the hospital this morning, having shoulder jabs under sedation. Oh joy. :wink:

    I can't remember whether it was you, DD or a combination of you both (scarey thought :lol: ) which converted me from sticky to stocky to stickystocky, tickytocky...you name it, I'll answer to it. :)

    I will be in your pocket Friday, sorry I cant help, apart from when I had my hip camera and injection last week I had a general and I was amazed at how quickly I came round off it, they must used different stuff when its not a long op.

    Thanks for the post. I've just been on to the hospital....I'm not one of these people that can just go in and say "OK get on with it I dont want to know"
    I want to know whats happening :D ....
    So apparently its an aspiration of the hip that I have had the THR in because of pain I'm having in it....
    She says its done .....with a scan being done at the same time to check where the needle is going etc {under local anesthetic} and I'll be out shortly after that......well maybe an hour {if everything goes OK} and told to go and have coffee and sit for a while then go home.
    Sounds OK .....Doc told me a day operation so I thought I would be there for the most of the day :lol:
    My appt is for 8am but she says there are 5 in front of me so bring a good book :lol:

    Hileena yeah a good book is essential..or like me 5 mags.. :lol: to be honest I am quite lucky, has I sometimes have a reaction to the injection...so they do me early then they can keep an eye on me for a few hours...but I think this is wearing thin, the last two havent produced any reaction,... :roll: :lol:
