Well had the THR on Saturday last week and came home yesterday. All went extremely well and all is going well at the moment. The Hospital I had it done at was Private I had been passed over as a NHS patient. I thought it was great perhaps not as posh as our NHS hospitals but the nursing care and attention to detail was second to none and having already had two other implants done I can speak with a little authority. This is the first day of my home recovery here's to the next few weeks. And yes I am in discomfort and have pain and bruising and stiffness power for the course but having waited 28weeks I have now no reason to moan Wendy

Oh hello! What good news and it's lovely to hear from you! I am pleased that everything is going well and that you are feeling OK, that is very reassuring to those who are considering surgery. Keep resting and exercising and I wish you well. DD

I, too, am very pleased it's all gone to plan and you are now back home. As DD says, rest and exercise....then more rest and exercise....and more....etc etc. Well done, wendgro!

Really pleased it has all gone so well, now you need to make sure you don't overdo it, but keep up the exercises.

Hey Wendy, Welcome home, and I'm so glad it's been done and now you can look to the future after getting back on your feet. I know the hard work begins now lots of exercise & phyiso but I'm sure you don't mind it as it's helping you. Make sure you rest as well as working at getting back on your feet! Hope you feel better soon. :)
