Good luck from me too, diamond. That's a lovely thought to keep you going in the meantime.
Julia - do the exercises both before and after. That's my tip.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I wish you all the very best with your forthcoming operation, Diamond. Yes, an incentive always works wonders I have found and if that is not one of the greatest incentives, then I do not know what is.
Hi Julie
Keep as mobile as you can on the knees beforehand and that will put you in good sted for a positive post op result. Also do as you are told post op and get a good physiotherapist where you can work together as a team.
Had both my knees done, two years apart and never regretted it one bit.

Best of luck, Diamond. I wish I could persuade them to do one of mine.
Be lovely to walk in the summer son with your little grandchild. That's a really great incentive to keep you going and to help recover fully.

The very best of luck with it Diamond, I am sure it will make the world of difference: be sure to be conscientious about the post-op exercises and don't be in a rush to do too much too quickly: recovery is a slow process but you do have the ideal carrot dangling in front of you! I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Congratulations and good luck Diamond. Having a pram/buggy to lean on will mean you can walk that bit further too.
Julia, when I had my TKR, I found that having an epidural rather than GA helped my recovery right from the start. However, the exercises are definitely the most important post op tool. Good luck........Rosie.0 -
Thanks for your good wishes folks i will keep you updated.xx0
