Humira

Sorry if this has been posted before but I did search and couldn't see much.
I am now finally getting put on this after seeing Biologics beg of feb and being told I did not qualify despite having a major bad time of it since last Aug and hardly being able to walk due to swollen ankle and pain. My Rheumy has told them to give me it so Humira is the one I have opted for as I can't see myself being able to use the syringe one they intended (think its called cimez or something like that). So what I am asking is have any of you been on this and how have you found it and the injecting yourself with the pen is it easy? I am staying on the meth too but they hope to decrease that once the injections start. I am nervous but excited at the same time as I am hoping this works as getting around on crutches is not really a long term option as my hands and wrists flare from time to time so everything is crossed for this to work.
Thanks for any replies and hope you are doing well at the moment and not having a flare

I've been taking humira since July 09 and it's alright. If your hands are compromised (mine currently are) then yanking the caps from either end of the pen is probably the hardest part. Mr DD does that for me if I can't manage. You cannot control the speed of the injection but it doesn't last long. I wish you well with it and I hope it helps. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

My son has been on Humira for about 3 years now. He has found it wonderful and not a problem to use. Best of luck0
