Heat relief products

Hi everyone. Ive found that using heat on my effective joints gives me a lot of relief. I use my hot water bottle and wheat bag when I'm at home but i'm looking for something that I can use while I'm out and about.

I already have little hand warmers that I use in my gloves/ pockets although they only stay warm for around 20mins. There the re-usable ones that you boil to re-activate. I could do with some that last a lot longer than 20 mins if anyone knows of any?

I've also found the heated knee support bandages good that are usually used for people who have sprains etc but I am yet to find any re-usable ones. I can't keep spending a fortune on the disposable ones.

I'd also really love to find something similar that I could use on the back of my neck- like a heat patch- I've no idea if such things even exist :)

Does anyone know if you can get these types of things on prescription?

If anyone has found anything similar to what I have mentioned above I would be very grateful if you could let me know.

Thankyou.

    Hi Littlemissmai

Right there with you... heat helps mine as well.

Never seen reusable ones though... well didn't know they did them. Like the idea of the knee ones especially.

You know the pads that go direct on to your body? I use them a lot for the spasming in my neck, shoulder and lumber and they genuinely do help me.

Will go now to find the knee ones.... Thanks for saying about them, I need them just now. Cris x

I don't use these but sportsmen sometimes do. Maybe a site that deals in walkers' gear might have something?
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi,

I have used a Hottie back wrap (available from Amazon) for a few years now. They stay warm for ages and can be wrapped on your back, hips etc. They are a brilliant product and each one lasts me around two years.

I have found the neck more of a problem so reading about the scarf is very helpful.
