Hi all,
Itake my weekly dose of this wonderful (so far!) drug on a Tuesday. I've been on it for about 4 months, and I feel a great difference in my RA. However, the day after taking it, not only do I feel very tired, but my wrists seem to be more stiff and painful than they would normally be. Anyone else experience this?

Tiredness is a very common side-effect with meth, rest assured that you're not the only one to feel it, as for the extra aches and pains well I don't know about that but we are all different and it could just how you react. I am glad it is helping you to a noticeable effect and I hope that continues long to be the case. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hello Elaine. I don't think we've 'met' so welcome to the forum from me. I've been on methotrexate for many years and I can still occasionally get what is known in this household as my 'meth day' - usually the day after taking it but sometimes the day after that when I feel very lethargic and don't get round to doing much. I don't know why it happens but it's a small price to pay for the benefits. I've never noticed any extra pain though on these days. It seems a bit different but, personally, I wouldn't be worrying about it. I hope the meth continues to help you.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hello again, Elaine. How are you today? I hope yesterday's tiredness has worn off and the wrists aren't too stiff. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks for all your good wishes. Its good to be able to talk to others in the same boat. Day 2 after the weekly mtx and I feel great. Stickywicket, have you had flare ups since you went on this drug? I seem to have responded to it very well, judging by some of the posts I have read on here, and sometimes feel like I am "cured" lol, although I will say I am also on prednisolone, diclofenic and hydroxychloroquine.0

Hi
Just wondered if you'd considered swapping your day
I take my MTX on a Saturday night so that my off day is a Sunday and the worst of nausea etc is whilst i'm asleep
This was recommended to me when I started and I honestly think it helps me especially as I work Monday to Friday - which is hard enough without side effects to battle with.
I do my humira on a Friday so i don't have to them exactly the same time but to be honest that rarely gives me any problems
Oh how friday & saturday nights have changed guess i've swapped the drink for drugs
