Faulty BHR x-ray today but now I'm wondering

Hi peeps and apologies for not being around much.
Have been having a bit of a poo time with everything tbh.
Had appointment with my new Doc yesterday as my previous one has retired. New one knows nothing about me and my 'problems' but he did listen well and took my body map and notes about my possible fibro.
I then told him my concerns about my BHR and the fact I have pain and lack of movement. He moved my legs about on the couch (oooo eerrrr Mrs) and then sent me off for x rays today.
I have tho been wondering now if the pain isn't my hip but my back? I get a small amount of groin pain but not a lot. The worst pain is on the side of my bum cheek, the outside of my hip (feels like cramp) and down the front of my thigh.
Now I DO have back problems and pain in my low back with loss of feeling in my saddle area and on both feet but this is 'new' pain.
What do you think? More back pain, poss aggravated by facet injections, OR hip pain from the BHR?

Hi Folara
Sorry things have been so shift for you lately
As for the hip/back...
mmmm....mmmmmmmm
I don't know either, but am glad xrays have been done so hopefully the new doc will have some idea after that, which area is the trouble-maker.
What I do know is how many people have bad hips or backs and how much the pains DO overlap.
Good luck
Love

I'm sorry things have been bad for you, too, Fols. At least the new doc is a listener - big plus.
I'm glad to say I don't know much about back pain but I've always experienced hip pain in the groin and just above the centre of the buttock on the affected side.
I've never experienced loss of feeling anywhere. Mine's RA (with OA).If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks Toni and Sticky
I am probably just over analyzing things like normal.
The problem is that as I have bad hips and a bad back (OA), that as you say the pain really does sort of merge and overlap.
Maybe I should just be patient and wait for the results.

Hi Fols,
Sorry you been suffering flower and hope it will soon back off for you. i get the same but i do have both a duff back and hips so can;t help tell you which it is.
I am glad they have xrayed your hip though and hope the results will help them get you some better pain relief. Hang in there and leaving you a ((((( ))))) and a cuppa. Cris xx0 -
Thanks Cris. It's so difficult to tell when it's both your hips and back which are knackered anyway and that's my problem plus I really do tend to over worry about things. Hopefully the X-ray will shed some light, or not lol. I'm too impatient too, I want to know now not have to wait a week.

Hi Fols,
I have arthritis in lower spine and in both hips {well one of them is a THR now} and it is so hard to tell which is which.
What they are going to do next is an injection into my R hip {anaesthetic}.....thats the hip that hasnt had the THR.....apparently if the anaesthetic works and the pain eases or goes for a while {in my hip} the pain is coming from my hip and its anothere THR asap.....not sure that I want that......if it doesnt make any difference its coming from somewhere else  probably my back....and they wont touch that....so not sure what the point in having this is.
Hope you get some positive results with the X Ray and it is a plus to have a doc that listens.
Love
Hileena0
