Hi All

Well I have finally got an answer, it's going to be Steroids added to Leflunomide. I'm not that happy about it but I suppose I have to give it a try. The reason it has taken so long for the hospital to make up their mind is they had to contact my Neurologist for his opinion as I also have Multiple Sclerosis.

It's bad enough having RA in my hands and fingers now my ankle has gone, standing on it is agony let alone trying to walk, thank goodness for my wheelchair.

Sometimes, muffy, it's a matter of doing whatever's necessary at the time. Once things are on an even keel and you're not in as much pain you can start to plan what next. I hope it works well and quickly for you.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Sylvia,I am new to lefluminide, 5 weeks ,but I dont think it would be working without the steroid injections as well ,I actually wondered about a low dose steroid on an ongoing basis but what ever you decide I hope its good for you .Marrianne :)

    Hi Sylvia,

It often is like Sticky says and you have to do something short term to get the bennifits longer term. I hope it will soon work for you and got the fingers crossed. Cris x
