I have just done it again!

I enjoy sea kayaking when my pain levels allow and after seeing an advertisement for a programme called Indian Ocean with Simon Reeve, I said to my wife that I wish I could be paid to kayak in such beautiful waters for television.
I was brought back down to earth when my wife reminded me that my OA and pain levels wouldn't allow such a trip.

I am always making plans or dreaming about things that I can't physically fulfill and its very upsetting sometimes when I am reminded that i am disabled

Maybe, in summer, you could find a place nearer where you could do this ? Sometimes dreams and plans just have to be modified so that they can still be achieved.

This site tells you about Canoing/kayaking with a disability in UK:

You only get one life, love it, live it, grow old disgracefully !!

I paddle locally, I have been very fortunate and Nigel Dennis who makes world famous kayaks has supported my kayaking with a new composite kayak and split paddles and palm jumped on board and kitted me out with clothing etc, karitek gave me an easy load roofrack.

On a good day I can cover a decent distance but i then have to pay for it with a flare up but its worth it :-)
