I have my ESA medical, cant say I am looking forward to it, after the farce last year.

However I have discovered you can refused to do any of the phyiscal bits, which is good as it was so painful trying to squat. so that will no thankyou..

and i will be a liitle more insistant him putting the correct information and not some made up bull...

got my brother coming with me as i really need support when going to these places..and they make it so hard to get to...no parking ath the centre or within 200 meters so i wll have to get the train and struggle off the platform with is a little too far to the front entrance so I will be done in even before i get in there..its just too much..

I assume you are going to Norwich?
I only walked around the side of the building as Alan dropped me off and then parked and I waited for him inside. The only thing I found was that there are steps up and down in the entrance bit and nowhere to sit in there. I suppose they expect people to go straight up to reception. I ended up sort of sitting on the wide window ledge with the plants.

I was not asked to bend or squat, in fact nothing standing up. I don't think they do that now. I read somewhere that bending and squatting is not a requirement for working now the equal rights system is in place. Tell that to a retailer who wants their bottom shelves restocking or cleaning :?

The only examination I got was sitting on the couch (up one step)and testing leg refelexes and movement. Oh and waving my hands and arms about, copying the movements the assessor did. I felt like I was in kindergarden doing 'I'm a little teapot' :D

    Still waiting for my result.

Good luck - Keep us posted on how it was for waiting time and the general attitude of the person assessing.

Good luck hun. Don't forget that they are evaluating you from the moment they can see you, even if it's whilst you are getting out of the car or in the waiting room.

Also, make sure you request a copy of it afterwards so you can raise any points where they have got it wrong.

Well thank god that's over. However with my medical supposed to be for my knees, I would have thought he nurse would have examined them. She did ask me to squat and I declined. She did ask me to get on the bed were she continues with asking to push against her hands I a little then had to stop I can gO home now take some pills and crash on the sofa

yes they tried that one, i did tell them that i do watch tv but I have sit with my feet up as my knees ache and get painful sitting with them bent.

and I told them I came by train so I could get up and stretch my knees as they do get stiff sitting in one place too much..I was not going for fall foul of there traps this time...I did have to point out a couple of times that I to sit with my legs up and she was not having any of it the first time..I still find it odd tho that I went for a medical for my knees and she never even looked at them..oh well we shall see. I will be phoning the DWP tomorrow to ask for a copy of the report as I dont think the nurse (yes you heard right a nurse) was right to assess me..so I do feel that I have an appeal coming on.
