Numbness? Hmmm, to me that hints at maybe some sort of nerve trouble, something being squashed in a way that it shouldn't but I am not a doc. :) I am glad you are seeing your GP on Friday, write it down just as you have for us and hopefully he'll take a bit of notice: if not, sit on him until he gets pins and needles and then explain that's about 1/10th of the discomfort you feel. I do empathise as both my hands are tingling and numb - I know I should be going to the doc but I currently can't be bothered! Hi there

The MRI is very soon now, but of course it feels like forever :( . You could always ring up and say you'd take a cancellation though???

Prior to my back surgery l 'lost' the whole of my RT leg - couldn't feel a thing and it didn't even bear my weight so l do understand.

    Back pain is terrible :(

Wish l could help, but you DO have all my sympathy

    Love

    Toni xx

I get numbness and tingling and cramps in arms hands and legs so know how frustrating it can be..

Not long till your appointment, are you seeing a neurologist?
My neurologist started me on gabapentin which has helped with some of my problems but i am still under investigation..

I hope you get some answers and get things under control soon

Poor you, Jane, I can sympathise having back problems myself and having recently undergone a spinal op around 8 months ago. Has physio been suggested to you or injections by xray direction?

Yes, it must seem a long way ahead for the MRI although it is this month and then there is more waiting for the result.

If the pain does get too immense you can of course go to A&E. My daughter did, when she was in absolute agony with back/leg pain as it was so horrenduous she did not know what to do with herself.

    Chin up,

Thankyou for all your replys and support it means a lot to know there are people who understand , i have to wait for the m r i then they are sending me to pain clinic if there isnt a surgical option, so i shouldnt complain to much, i had an m r i a year ago which showed facet arthritis and disc problems also narrowing of the neural foramina but they keep saying my pain should be on the right side and it isnt  its deffinatly worse on the left so the surgeon last time said there was nothing at that point to be done he didnt see me just told my doctor. xx Jane

    Hi Jane

Hope it is a good pain clinic to which you are being referred. The pain clinic I have attended every now and again has done miracles for me :)
