Well that's it kids, today I've popped into Wallingford with the war office and we have just paid the Mortgage off, we've had it since 1986 and boy does it feel good.

    Hi Val and mig thanks, haven't done much yet but they shook our hands and congratulated us at the nationwide, felt soooooo good!.

    Gosh Mell I remeber when we paid the last payment...talk about breath a sigh of relief...thats a big weight off you mind....now enjoy it.

    :D Yep, wonderful feeling isn't it, when you have paid in all those years, paying the last part off and then it is YOURS. Worth celebrating - we did, a few years ago!

    Thanks all!, and yeah your right Elna, it's made me so worried in the past thinking I'd got this far and now it could be taken from me but not now, we also have the deeds to the place so will need to store them in a fire proof safe box I guess.

    must be a relief, cant wait for mine to be paid off as theres always the worry say not working and could loose home - its like a flippin noose!
