Hi all,Had a copy of letter that is sent to gp after my latest clinic appointment,part of it says have arranged inflammatory markers today for formal das assessment,so my question is what does a formal das assessment mean?Mig

    das is a disease assessment score. Its used to assess how active the disease is and whether meds are working or not.

    They check how many joints are affected/inflamed etc. suzy is bang on :)

    The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) has a good booklet explaining how DAS assessments work and what the scores mean and I have put the link below for you.
