Forum spam emails over the weekend

I am a bit surprised theres no mention of spam anywhere.

This weekend I got an email that looked just like an arthritis care email notification but it wasnt......then the forum was closed over the weekend.

Just wondered why theres nothing coming up about this?

    The forum was down from Friday night until sometime this morning. No-one was able to log on but I have no idea about your email. I'm sorry I can't help futher. :oops: DD

    Other posters have had problems with emails Oneday. Contact the Webmanager and let them know.

    Thanks mateys for the replies......but why is there no proper AC response...if i wasnt fully concentrating i could have clicked on the links in the email as it was very convincing....only dodgy bits were who email was "from" but email body looked the same and where is said the arthritis site it sam jamkit or something to do with flippin jam anyway!! - then the other giveaway was the topic being watched ie. internet dating - i knew i wasnt watching one with that name!

    I know of other AC members who have recently sent you an email about spam/ emails Mrs Webmanager and not had a response.

    Yes mine was from spunnose bluefountain too.

    I thought AC site had been hacked as I couldnt get on it at all over the weekend using proper channels i.e. internet search and not clicking on the dodgy email link.

    Ive blocked the address now but it would seem then that this spunnose character has got our email addresses as how would i have got an email purporing to be AC?
