yes...........guilty as charged........I went shopping with my daughter at the weekend!
I've been so sick of sitting at home all the time..........nothing but the same old Groundhog Day............so decided I would give it a go.
Went to Bluewater, and was ok for a bit, steadied by the puschair containing my youngest grandson (Ben aged 10 months) ............ a couple of little pit stops (lunch then tea & cake :-) ) thought i was doing very well until i realised we'd only been a quarter of the way round!

Needless to say I didnt make it and had to be left sitting and waiting until daughter came back to rescue me & take me home

ho-hum..........roll on thursday when i see the consultant to plan for my 1st TKR booking !

    O dear..... teehee.....

I've done that too, all excited about my first outing out after surgery, walked (albiet very slowly) to the end of the high street, thrilled - then realised I had to turn around and walk the same distance back....

Took me ages, MUPPETT...!! think I slept most of the next day... and BOY did the pain kick in too...

    Have learnt from my mistake...

    Hugs freesia xx

Don't worry Julia your not the only silly billy! I felt the same as you and bullied my OH to let me go shopping to buy a few little things on Sunday. Monday I woke up stiff legs that felt like they where on fire and sore hands and wrists from using sticks outside (I wanted to use the sticks instead of the wheelchair because it was only a 20-25min outing!). So the moral of this story is use your wheelchair even if it's only a 10min outing!! Still sore and achey today!!
