Humira

Has anyone gone back onto humira after a break of some
18 to 24 months?
If you have or did what was the outcome? Did it work the
second time around?
I was on it for almost 2 years and it really did it for me.
Then I was immediately bumped off it when another long
term condition edged into my life. For a while all went well
but now my ra is continually flaring and my consultant has
suggested humira again. She says it will also help to remedy
my other condition so I think it will be a goer.
Just wanted to know if others had been in a similar
situation and what happened.

I've never done humira but I've come off both meth and gold injections (Anyone remember gold injections???) before now and they worked just as well when I took them up again. I was once on a med that you couldn't re-start. Can't remember what it was. It might have been penicillamine. I hope the humira does the trick again for you, Ichabod. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I do wish I could help, it must be awful being in such pain all the blinking time....I hope someone comes along with some answers very soon.
You take care .Love

Thanks for these, ladies.
On Tuesday morning, purely as an interim measure,
a good looking and pleasant nurse stuck a whacking
big needle full of a mild steroid solution into my bum.
The effects are now kicking in and I am moving a lot
more freely.0 -
Hello Ichabod, I've never stopped a med to return to it later so I cannot help but I sincerely hope it helps you once more, especially as it was so effective before. I'm pleased to hear that the steroid injection is helping you - hurrah! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
