Does anyone else gets headaches badly? dont think its the drugs not sure why I am getting them but they come and go?

ask him when you see him it could be tension caused by the pain or your neck if it affected

    Hello Nikki

So pleased you have an appt so that you can begin to move things forward.

I am sorry about your headaches. For years I had almost permanent headaches which I think in my case were probably stress related and I used to live on max daily dose of paracetamol. Then I read somewhere that continually using painkillers for headaches can actually make the problem worse by causing what was called (I think) rebound headaches and when I cut back on the paracetamol the headaches definitely improved. Don't know if any of that applies to you, but thought I would mention it just in case.

Do mention the headaches to the consultant though because, like Val says, they can be associated with your neck - maybe you are tensing up your neck and shoulders because everything is hurting - I know I do that a lot.

Really good luck at your appt on Monday. Will be thinking of you.

    Tillyxxx

Too much Paracetamol can cause Analgesic headaches. I had them but saw my GD who suggested this.

I halved my daily dose and the headaches went away. Painful legs are worse however but that's a trade off?

Hi Nikki, glad you got an appt for Monday, remember to ask for 'pocket duties' for the appt best do that for tomorrow so we can all be there for you.
I get severe Migraines only now and then my GP is'nt sure if it's med related or from another illness I have. So best let GP know about them so they can be found what the trigger for them is. Good luck and I hope you you feel alittle better soon.

Good luck. Hope you get some good results, or at least some answers. Don't forget to write a list of the things you want to ask as you always forget something when face to face.

I do get headaches and I've linked them, through a process of elimination, to Methotrexate.

good luck with the appointment on Monday,

    Hi Nikki,
I'm glad you managed to get your appointment so fast.
I also get horrible headaches and I have no idea what causes them. It will be interesting to hear what your doctor says. My headaches are very severe and the only thing I can use for them is that 4head menthol stick that cools my forehead. I am on enough painkillers so if they didn't stop the headache from coming on then nothing will. It is interesting what others said about paracetamol causing headache. I am not on it any more but maybe they were contributing when I was. Anyway, the only thing I can do is to slap some 4head on and go to sleep. Next day I'm like new (minus the RA).
    Hope you feel better soon.
    Take care,
