have had a prednisolone injection in my hand / finger how long will it take to have any noticeable effect

    it's quite hard to say as we are all different and react differently to these things. You should probably rest the joint for a bit though..

    The thing with steroid injection is that some get great relief and some dont, The one I have had recently in the hip has worked quite good...it was more painful for around 3 days then I could feel the difference .
    Hope it kicks in very soon x

    My ex-MIL has had steroid jabs in her hands about 3 times now.

    For trigger finger in her case

    Each time it has taken 2/3 days to kick in and lasted about 6 months :)
