In my experience, Mig, the nurses are usually lovely understanding people who are able to offer a little more time to us than the consultants can manage. I'll be thinking of you (we are having our kitchen tarted up starting tomorrow at 8.30 so I have to stay at home) and I look forward to hearing how you got on. I hope the side-effects of your licorice-fest have subsided! (()) DD

It's a little late for that, my lovely, but thank you anyway. It's a tense day in the DD household as I have plunged to new levels of life-redundancy. He's done the lot whilst making it clear that what little help I could offer was nothing but a nuisance. There must be a positive spin somewhere that I can put on this but damned if I can find it. **** it all to hell. :( Anyhoo, I've never met a male rheumatology nurse - that's a new on on me! DD

Better late than never, I hope, mig. Lumpy, bumpy feet? Ah, we're related. Do you do knobbles too?
