Happened to have the radio on this morning and suddenly the words Arthritis Care were mentioned, so I really listened then.

To discuss the problems of OA Jane was joined by Susan Taylor, who had to give up work when she developed osteoarthritis, Jane Asher, President of Arthritis Care, and Dr Fraser Birrell, of the Musculoskeletal Research Group at Newcastle University.

Worth a listen.

Will put up the link when available, if no one else does, as shall be out until this evening now.

Apparently the phrase that is replacing those dreadful words "wear and tear" is "tear, flare and repair".

We shall have to educate the medics won't we, when they mention "wear and tear". :)

Must go and catch the train now. :D

Just listened to it -everyone rocked, especially Jane Asher! All that, and she can make cakes too.

I just posted it on Twitter - everyone do the same and we can get the word out for Arthritis Care Awareness Week.

Thank you for pointing this out!

I have had OA in my thumbs and hand joints for a couple of years now and recently it has moved to my ankle and both knees. I am trying to learn all I can about the condition so that I can help myself. So interesting to listen to this discussion today.

    Thank you.
How come I'm over the hill and rapidly going down it, when I don't even recall reaching the summit?

Thank you for bumping up this thread for me, Elizabeth. Two members have had a listen since you did this. It is worth a listen and does not take up much of one's time. :)
