    Morning May

I belive they are a bit more than just dishing out pills. Remember that's where Cris gets her neck jabs and much more? they will try to help with meds if they have any ideas (a fresh look can be useful) and maybe help with alternatives like acupuncture/water therapies etc.

    Good luck

    Love

    Hi May

It is true they may suggest alternative medications or an extra med perhaps but they also do injections which have been a lifesaver to me :). The medics have also been sympathetic to my pain and tales of woe which is not always forthcoming when pursuing other channels for help and guidance.:)

I hope you have as much success with your visit(s) to the pain clinic as I have had in the past.

mine have pretty much been in charge of my pain relief since I first went, tried a few different pills but also injections too.
I'm awaiting a new treatment on my spine and knees at the minute. Radio lesion therapy and pulse radio therapy..

Wishing you all the best, hope they can help mi dear :D

Please go and please keep an open mind. I went to mine for about 6 months - the help they offered was invaluable. Its very hard to get a place now as they are very expensive to run.
You can expect a wide variety of ideas to help you. I had some physio - all done at your pace. I was taught distraction therapy so many things I still use 2+ years on.
What they can't do is cure you - and they will probably tell you that at the first meeting. But that doesn't mean to say you won't benefit from a wide variety of things all tailored to you.
It also gives you a lot more confidence to speak to doctors/consultants etc as you will have a much better understanding of your condition.
    Best wishes..
