Hi everyone,

My rheumy team have decided to put me on Adalimumab (Humira) as everything else I have tried over last 6 years is no longer working.

They are going to put me on this med along with Sulfasalazine and methotrexate and hopefully my pain will be managed.

Has anyone else had experience of using this drug?

Is it any good.

I'm on that holy trinity at the moment. It's working inasmuch my PsA is under good control and my husband notices that my mobility improves for five or six days after each dose. There are some on here who are experiencing excellent results from humira, so good in fact that they rarely post. I hope you become one of their number, I really do. DD

I'm on Humara at the moment, it hasn't done much at the moment. Before this I was on Embrel for two years or so, this worked straight away for me but it broke down and stopped working after two years. Now I have been on Humira about two months , I also take 15 mg o Methotrexate, but to date I am in severe pain constantly and only get about using Arcoxia and Tramadol/Codeine. I hope this drug works out for you.

    Hello Stayfocused

I was on Humira for just about 2 years and it worked really well for me, but unfortunately after that time I became allergic to it and had to stop. But I wasn't taking meth alongside and the consultant told me that, had I been taking meth as well, I may well have been able to continue taking it without a problem.

Really hope it works well for you, as it did for me.

Thanks for all your posts, i'll keep you updated.

Had my first injection this Friday so fingers crossed. My rheumatology nurse said it can take between 2-12 weeks to work, the sooner the better x
