Bonfire of the Veiny Knees

A fortnight ago yesterday I did my humira, then the following day I began a cold. I missed the meth that week, but did it last Wednesday. True to form a very nasty cough ensued so yesterday I trolled off to the docs and aquired some anti-biotics. I suspect I am now in for a better week as the meth and humira will not feature and the anti-bios will contribute to a general over-all feeling of 'health'. Woo-hoo! BUT.
My knees are on fire deep inside, the right knee especially. There is evidence of fluid which I attribute to the PsA having a snap but it is the OA pain that is truly burning. This is irksome to say the least. Last night was a struggle, today is going to be iffy but at least the cough is subsiding, and that has to be a good thing. Right, tea, co-cos it is - to the Clatterator and beyond! DD

You know what they say DD, "best foot forward", don't know quite what you are meant to do when you don't have a "best" one!
(((()))) Fondest wishes,

Ah DD although you are poorly you still manage to 'sound' positive. Quite amazing Hope you improve quickly and the clatterator, with you, gets a workout to the shops!!!
Take great care.

Oh DD you poor poor sausage - but with any luck the antibs will help all round.
Love the title of the post - and reckon it could be a good starting point point for a Chit-Chat thread. All I can come up with at the mo are two not very good film/arthritis related puns "Jayne AAAAAAHHHH" (Jayne Eyre) or "Dr What do You Know?" (Dr Zhivago).
Thinking of you.

‘Irksome’, eh? Hm. Yes. Well, we’re not allowed any naughty swear words, are we, but I think I can translate that adequately.
As you know, I never learnt to distinguish between RA pain and OA pain and I’m never quite sure it matters anyway. It’s all.....er......irksomely painful. I rather hope that the infection has set off the PsA which has then impacted on the other. That way, the anti-bios should whack the infection on the head, the PsA should improve and hopefully the OA will retreat. Failing that I prescribe some of the nice dry cider I’ve just brought home and popped in the fridge for later as we have that rare visitor, sunshine, and I’m planning an afternoon with it. And a few of these (((())))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Aw DD.....One thing after another. At least the sun is shining and the clatterator will get an airing.
Hope you don't want that flask back......You take care.....May0 -
Alas my lovelies, the Clatterator is for indoor use today. That is a true indicator of how irksome life is being - now factor in the shower breaking which means I have to creak out and buy a new hose and head so frankly I am not a happy Daisy. Hey ho, lunch and dullers beckon, that may help matters. Thank you for your replies - it's a great help knowing that others understand. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. OK, I will see what I can do.
I'm flaked out on the sofa, feeling nicely nauseaous and the knees being beastly. Am I right in thinking that anti-bios can make you feel worse before the better bit arrives? I bl**dy hope so. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Hi DD
Anti-biotics in my experience don't kick in until they are nearly finished.
Del's idea of the outside shower is marvellous.....weather ideal but you are not. He should be paying you to use his walk in shower.....don't bribe him for the privalige.
Thats what friends are for.Crikey nearly burst into song then.
Hope you don't miss the rest of the week as its supposed to last...the sun...not your cold.
Keep that sense of humour....things can only get better. Nearly another song...flip. I know you won't want these but (((()))) just a few. May0 -
If the nauseousness is to do with the antibios get some different ones. I always have to remind mine not to give me Amoxycillin, which seems to be first port of call and unfortunately is compatible with meth but which always has me throwing up.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh DD not the knees again..is there anyway we an get you to stay off them for a while..or is that asking to much....I hope they ease up very soon...den I think....plenty of stash.. 8)Love

Oh gulp. Sticky you are (as usual) right on the money. Amoxywhat-not they are but I am pleased to report that the ickiness has eased somewhat and I hope that lasts.
Kellerman, the arrogant beast within cannot help but agree but the insecure side of DD does kinda feel that tassels should be swung.
Barbara? You, my lovely, are on: roll on Friday!
Many thanks are due to you lovely lot but please accept these instead: ((((()))))) DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
