the deep freeze gels work great so would recomend you try them, sometimes you can find tubs of it in the pound shops as well as chemists, the bonus of the pound shops is the fact its so much cheeper. now this might sound a bit daft but i own up to doing this, i have a couple of pairs of cotton trainer sock kept in a food bag and shuved in the back of the fridge, when all else fails or if its night time i take a pair out and shuve them on my feet, bliss.

i hope you find something that works for you , its so uncomfortable when it happens,

    Hi Julia,

I can remember my hands burning like that and it means that the disease is very active in your feet at the moment. Try to keep them cool as the others have suggested and also make sure you're keeping your meds up.

If it doesn't settle it might be worth you contacting your GP or Rheumy to see what they say.

I'm a hot foot sufferer, even in the cold. Only get cold feet when I'm exhausted.

I have a foot massage machine thing that is supposed to have warm water in but I put freezing cold water in and use it. It's like a cold water jacuzzi for your feet. Bliss.

Can you imagine what I am going through.

Both feet were operated on last week and my feet feel as though they are on fire with the bandages on and especially this weather. Had the problem of hot feet before operation especially at night and had to put my feet out of bed each evening.

Deep freeze spray or gel! I cannot recommend it enough. I've started plonking my feet in cold water for 30 secs or so and it helps. My OT said it's important not to leave your feet in cold water for too long, so dipping in and out might help.

    Hi Julia :)

I used to have this sort of problem before I bought my recliner chair. Further to all the great suggestions here, are you able to put your feet up at all? Inflammation does tend to pool in the feet, especially during hotter weather.

    Best wishes,
    Phoebe
