symptoms of psoriasis

What are the symptoms of psoriasis?. treatment methods? I have symptoms of itching on joints and silvery patches on my body. I have consult the doctor and he give some tablets. Again i have the problems. Can u tell me the treatment methods.

    I have had psoriasis since I got diagnosed.

    On various parts of the body! :oops:

    I use betacap on my head (which has a steriod in it) and trimovate on my body.

    Both are very good, but it does come back from time to time so best to get it on repeat prescription from your doctor.

    Psoriasis happens when skin renews itself too quickly, doing it over a period of 3-4 days rather than the usual 28-31. The silvery patches which flake are dead skin, the red, thin skin under is the very new layer. It can itch and treatment includes ointment, coal tar-based preparations tablets (e.g. sulphasalazine) and light therapy. DD
