Hi all
after being told I must join the WRAG of ESA I have decided not to take this laying down. As you may remember from my previous post I have had no medical and my health records have not been considered. I phoned and requested a copy of the report. In the report the medical "expert" says on two separate occasions that I am unlikely to return to work, but my being in the WRAG would not harm me in any way! I have taken advice from the disability advice project in Cwmbran, gwent. They have agreed to fight my case at a formal appeal. I still cannot get anyone to explain to me the point of putting me in a work related group, no one is ever going to employ me. I think in all honesty the government are using this group as a holding pen and after 12 months we get turned free with no financial safety net. That's what you get for working all your life, oh, and having the audacity to become ill!

I am sorry you have been hit by them too. They've told me to go sign on JSA :?
They really need retraining or closing down altogether. They seem to think that arthritis is curable or that employers will be falling over themselves to employ us.
Don't we all wish this was the casewelshgooner wrote:I think in all honesty the government are using this group as a holding pen and after 12 months we get turned free with no financial safety net. That's what you get for working all your life, oh, and having the audacity to become ill!
This doesn't even apply to me because I am due to claim state pension in 9 months time after a lifetime of working and never claiming anything.
Good luck with your appeal, I've not decided what I am going to do yet.0 -
