Verruca - not Salt!

Let's talk verrucas, as in the lovely things on the bottom of your feet as opposed to the character from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Slightly off topic and I know this will make me unpopular but I think the Johnny Depp version is far superior to the original! Moving on.......!
At present, I have a cluster of painful, akwardly positioned verrucas that are very persistent and continually amaze the chiropodist because they not only refuse to leave but are actually getting bigger. She said it's down to MTX's immune system suppressing qualities. However, they're blimming uncomfortable and wondered if any of you wise people had any radical suggestions.
Despite my badly behaving feet, I'm actually much perkier now the weather has cooled down and my wrists have de-swelled enough for me to wear my watch again. So, you win some and you lose some!

Oh wow - I am not alone!!!! Yes, I have a verruca and a couple of warts on my hands and tiny warts on the trunk of my old bod - YUK (sorry to the delicate folk!!!!)
My Doc says it is a side effect of the prednisolone, with it being immune suppressing. I have been taking a systemic homeopathic remedy but no luck. Have also bought some 'alternative' stuff to paint on but haven't tried it yet. Apart from that will have to go to the heavy duty stuff from the chemist - lol. I read somewhere that if you cover them with duct tape they go away over time - not a pretty look covering myself with duct tape - mmm.
Vanity just doesn't come into it with auto immune does it????
Take care
