Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is OK.

I need some advice please. I have severe pain in my right heel which doesn't seem to be easing, I've had it for sometime now (couple of months) and it's very painful to walk on. I do have it in my left foot but not as bad. the pain is present when resting but minimally but is drastically exacerbated when I stand on it.

Any advice is appreciated

Hi stayfocussed, im not in anyway a doc but it sounds to me like u may well have plantafaciitis (policemans heal), and yes it bl**dy hurts. I had steroid injection twice into the sole of my heal and it has helped hugely. if this is what it is it may help but DO GO talk to your doc about it.

    hope it eases soon. xx

I agree with Clare, I had a plantafaciitis (thanks for the spelling Clare) around 3 years ago and it was agony, I ended up spending a fortune on insoles, they didnt work but I was told to wear different shoes throughout the day just to exercise the foot, it just went on its own after a few weeks.
I do hope your eases very soon, but do try the different shoe thingy.
    Good Luck xxx
    Love

Ive had Plantar Fasciitis a couple of times! The last time was really bad, i had it for about 2 years in the end. It is extremely painful so i empathise greatly!!

Soft soled shoes help a lot, i buy Hotter shoes now, they are great!!

I think mine got worse when i put on some weight. I tried lots of different insoles, they do help a bit, but don't get rid of it. The stretching exercises that are recommended for PF do help too, but you must do them religiously. The mixture of all those things should help it to go in time. I used to freeze a small bottle of water and put it on the floor and rolled my foot over it, that helped.

    I hope it goes soon!!

I know what you mean - it's as though a spike is going through one's heel, yes? It sounds like classic plantar f, you have received some good advice about it and I hope it eases soon. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
