Travelling pain, which joint will it be today?

Hi All

I haven't posted for quite a while as my RA has been behaving reasonably well lately. And I know I am so much better off than many people in still having pretty good mobility generally...
However the past couple of months it seems a different joint takes a turn each day to play up to the point of utter distraction (over and above the usual pain).
Sometimes its my wrist or elbow and I am unable to use that hand/arm.
Sometimes it is a knee or an ankle and I have difficulty walking, standing or even rolling over in bed.
Then often it is a shoulder, which has to be the worst as I can't stand, sit or lie without being in unbearable pain, which rules out sleep altogether.
Today it seems to be my jaw which means I can't eat or talk much!!

My family are very sympathetic, but they can't keep up with which of my joints is causing me the problem on any given day.

Does anyone else have problems with the pain shifting from joint to joint regularly.
Any strategies to cope or is it just one of these things?

I seem to remember that it's supposed to be better if it's moving about rather than staying put but, quite frankly, if the meds aren't working, I'd be thinking in terms of the rheumatology helpline.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi Rashine
I have OA and yes it moves about from joint to joint....I do think this is the worse thing about arthur, not knowing what the day will bring.
I do wish you well with it all, and hope today is a goodish one xx
    Love

I know the feeling, it's like Russian Roulette (excuse the spelling, drugged up to the eye balls!) Arther style! Wake up and what joint or joints is it going to be today or this week or this month! It's no laughing matter for us sufferers.
