Is Your Heating On?

I cannot believe how chilly it is today. Yesterday was cool but I am sure today is cooler. We don't have the heating going but I have fired up the halogen. I need a little background heat. DD

Hi DD,
Yes, a lot cooler today, and the communal heating has fired up nicely! If it hadn't I'd be wrapping up warm and making a lot of hot drinks. I think I mentioned in sticky's weather thread that my joints don't seem to be affected by the temperature, but no one wants chilblains in June!
Hope everyone's keeping comfy,

Yes, central heating is on and woodburner is lit in the kitchen!
I cannot be cold!0 -
Today We are clearly a nation divided by weather systems. Today we were sitting outside in the garden in shirtsleeves, with friends, supping Pimms followed by champagne. The gazebo was up in case it got chilly but not needed.
Now yesterday I woke to find the bathroom towel rail red hot and the radiators not far behind. It was cold, wet and miserable all day.
Not sure how to vote.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi DD
yes I am afraid the central heating is on at this moment in time
yesterday I had the oil heater on in the conservatory all-day and the central heating in the evening.
It does seem silly having the heating on in June, but I think our weather is so topsy-turvy nowadays you put it on when you are cold. You never know we may not need it on in October

I gave in an hour ago. The halogen was fine in the sitting room but the rest of the house? Nah. The ground floor was horribly cold and as hot air rises it needs to be generated. The boiler is on, blinds down and curtains drawn. It's June for heaven's sake but I do remember snow in June - I think I was six so the year was 1965. But there again I might have been seven etc. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Sticky I might have to move in with you, if it doesn't warm up here soon. Ha that might be fun!

It could definitely be fun. Bring a bottle. Unfortunately I don't think tomorrow's forecast is brilliant. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Heating isn't on (yet) but I'm under the duvet. Will pop it on later as I really fancy a bath and hate that leap from the bath into a cold room.
So much for June, haven't even bought any bedding plants yet.0 -

When, where and how did you conduct your research, rehab? If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
