Foot exchange?

I’m looking for a new pair. Not asking much. I’ll take any size and most shapes, would prefer non-oderous but no serious offer refused.
I have a decent pair of ankles – well, not in the good-looking sense or even in the bendy, functional sense. Actually they don’t bend at all but that’s OK because they don’t hurt much since they fused themselves. I can cope with my toes. They are an extremely odd set of bedfellows and would walk away ( ) with any knobbly toes competition but, thanks to surgical shoes and thick socks they’re not usually very painful.
It’s the soles. I’m awaiting new insoles as my current ones are worn and torn but I’ve been awaiting them for over a month now and that month has played havoc with existing boney bits, knobbly bits, soft lumps, hard lumps, bumps and cracks. If only I could reach them I’d be tempted to slice them off and see how that worked. But I can’t. Trying to walk without annoying them more than is absolutely necessary has had a knock on effect on all joints above them. I’m creamed up, dressinged-up and taped up and also deeply fed up.
Swapsies anyone?

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I don't think mine would be of any use whatsoever, they appear to be full of ground glass. It's tiresome. I am so sorry Sticky, I wish I could think of summat to help but I don't have a clue. ((((())))) DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Could only swap like for like, but let me know if you have any luck.Mig0

Hey, Legs, how did you come by a straight pair? And, does all that fur help to protect them?
Mig & DD, offers much appreciated but I think I'll hold out for something hopefully better. They've even stopped making S*c*nd Sk*n in a decent sized pack that you cut to size. It's just piddling little blister sizes now not 1/2 foot.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh Sticky I am so sorry My feet are doing ok today so you are very welcome to borrow them for a bit! They are rather large though so I will have lend them to you complete with big clumpy shoes, but that's fine. (I don't want yours though thanks )
Really hope you get the insoles sorted very soon Sticky.
Thinking of you.

The fur is purely to enhance the odours  and I bribed my consultant for a straight pair
Hope you get some relief and your insoles sorted.

I'll gladly do a temporary swap hun. Just do you can have some relief. My footsies are fine, no pain at all. Dunno what you'd look like with size tens though
They are rather tanned from today too. Very healthy looking.
How long would you like to borrow them for?
Anything to help a pal in needMe-Tony

Hi Sticky
Sorry mine hurt today but i can manage .I would gladly give you my insoles as they have not done much for me lately .Do you have the half insoles the ones that slip around all the time and you have to put bluetak inside your shoes to stop them moving around :?:

Hi Sticky,
I hope your feet are less painful today. I would lend you mine but they are probably only marginally better than yours. Also they're not as pretty as they used to be. They are though, quite clean and fresh smelling!
Wishing you well,

mine smell of the ocean :shock:Me-Tony

Hi Sticky
You can borrow mine..........although it may take some getting used to being called Bilbo and being asked how long it's been since you went back to The Shires! ;-) x0 -
Thank you everyone for the offers of your - for the most part - very manky feet  Tempting as the offers were......
Tony, your ocean-scented ones in good working order sounded much nicer. Now that's what I call an offer. As for size? Size isn't everything, you know
I was seriously brassed off yesterday after a needless, almost 5 weeks of making other joints worse because orthotics (this household's favourite swear word these days) can't get their finger out. Today I got a letter (posted last Friday) to say they were awaiting pick-up. I picked them up and, although I've only sat in them up to now, I think they'll be fine. That means I can start thinking about walking again other than house and supermarket. My feet'll be better. My aged TKR'll be better, my not so aged THR above it'll be better and my lower back will probably get back to it's almost painfree normal. Halleluia!
You're a great bunch. Ta muchly. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I laughed my way through this Sticky

bless ya hun. You would have been very welcome to borrow them. And I know size ain't scripting but I know how to use em
They are now fresh as a daisy after a lovely hot shower..
They ache a tad after another day of doing a LITTLE too much haha..
I'm resting now. Early night tonight. The market us on here tomorrow, looking forward to getting some lovely peaches.. Yum..
Then some more sun as I'm not quite brown enough for my liking. Although, I've been mistaken for a local twice already lol..
Glad you got them sorted finally mi dear. Really hope they helpMe-Tony

I may have been a bit hasty in my elation. Now I've got the insoles in, it's looking and feeling like they didn't get the repairs right either. No flare to protect the bony bits. My lovely, old craftsman shoemaker/orthotist/repairer (he did the lot - perfectly and swiftly) will be turning in his grave. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Aaw Sticky, I'm sorry your insoles are not as you had hoped for. I don't think you would want my feet today. Last night I met with a good friend who is home for a few days from Saudi Arabia. Of course I over did everything! This morning I can only get slippers on.
Oh well, they are very soft, fluffy slippers, and it was worth it!
I hope things improve for you very soon.
All the best,
Numpty0 -

Dammit. Damn and blast. I am so sorry that they have not been done well enough, that is inexcusable. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

It's terrible that what should be a straight forward repair has to cause so much stress.
You would think that they should know the importance of getting shoes and insoles right because of the damage it can cause to our feet.
I hope you can get them sorted
