And Things Keep Getting Worse.

Hi all
Having a really bad time at the moment. Pain in every joint like severe toothache. I'm on Humira and Meth, not working at all in fact things are getting worse. Can't drive so restricted to the house. Went to the doc's yesterday and he upped the dose of Tramadol and Arcoxia. The pain seems to be there all the while and the only relief is when the Tramadol takes me off on a haze! Also worried about the ESA, I've been placed in the work group although I am fighting that ridiculous descision. I think the pain is worse when under stress like this. Anyway, thought I'd get it off my chest.
Den.

I agree with Val, and also with you on Tramadol, it's an odd drug does help but it has side effects that's for sure.0

I too am on humira and meth (plus sulphasalazine) and the pain is always there but in my case I know that is mostly due to the OA in my knees and ankles (caused by the PsA damage) but, having had a month off humira thanks to a chest infection, the PsA is now biting in the other affected joints. My blood results are usually good which shows that the immuno-suppressant meds are working ( I wish I felt it!) but in my case the damage was established before I found this combination of meds. Our lives are not that straightforward, yes? There is no doubt that stress makes things worse but as long as the ESA system is administered by the healthy what is its point? Hang on in there, welshgooner, this will pass as all things do. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Stress makes you tense up and that doesn't help does it? I don't think you can cut it out in your life, so you have to try and make it as easy as you can for yourself. Trammys do have some awful side effects, I'm trying to cut them down at the moment.0

Hey welshgooner. Sorry your struggling at the mo. No wonder youre stressed out with people making decisions about your life when they really dont have a clue. Hope you start to feel better soon.

hi there have you tryed the slow release tramadol they are better stop you feeling sleepy0 -
I'm sorry things are so bad for you right now, welshgooner. As others have said, stress does make stuff worse. I'd beware the 'herbal drinks' though. There is a perception that anything natural has to be innocuous. Belladonna and digitalis are 'natural'. Get anything you take Okd by your doc first. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
