Ganglion Cysts

Hi
I have RA. I have a large lump on each wrist. They have been present for a couple of months now. At a recent appointment with my consultant he said they were ganglion cysts. He injected one of my wrists with Depo-Medrone. Said he wouldn't do the other wrist as I had driven to the appoointment. That was two weeks ago. The pain and swelling in my wrists has reduced but the cysts are still very prominent. Do you think they will disappear in time or will they have to be removed?

Hello Bebob, I read your post and I suspect you have chosen the wrong part of the forum to pose the question as this bit is more to do with computery matters. May I suggest that you re-post on the Chat to Helplines bit or on LWA (Living with Arthritis)? I think you will get more answers that way. I have heard of ganglion cysts but don't have them (as yet!) I wish you well. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

I vaguely remember having these in the dim and distant past. If so, they may go away of their own accord as I don't have them now. I think if they get in the way you can have them removed surgically but your doc would be the best one to advise.
