Well, went to docs yesterday and got my steroid injection. Felt a bit yuk last night, but woke up this morning and felt a bit human again. Fatigue almost gone and the pain is off in a distant haze somewhere. Just hoping i get a wee while out of it or at least the two weeks of my holidays. Doc also informed me that i should have been back at the hospital for another check up last March! Needless to say, hospital informed the doc of this fact but didnt bother to inform me. He only recieved the letter himself last week! I now have to try and get hold of my consultants secretary. Going on past experiences, i have more chance of getting elvis on the phone!

Woo-hoo! I am glad that the steroid has worked for you and I hope you will receive its full benefit over the next few weeks. Unfortunately it seems to be true that we (the mere patients  ) have to do some of the admin. regarding appointments etc but it is important to keep on top of things: we know we are important but, alas, we are one of many who also think the same.
Regarding Elvis, I believe he works in a chip shop somewhere. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

Hello I hope the pain is staying away and you are enjoying your holiday, I have been advised to get copies of everything being sent to my gp or just general record keeping, ask to be copied in.
Not sure if this includes appointments but may be worth a try, good luck.Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.0 -
