i feel incredible that i can still safely drive a car, despite having very severe rheumatoid arthritis. without that car and the ability to move though space at a speed, is a very uplifting feeling. i cant walk so this gives me freedom to go somewhere unaided.
i know many people would love to drive but cant and can understand the frustration this causes

I am very fortunate to have a wonderful husband who has taken it all in his stride. And I am lucky too that my mobility problems came after having my son, because he is the best motivation I will ever have and he makes every day so muchM bettereTwenty-something mother, home educating my wonderful son and currently TTC.
My particular flavour of arthritis is yet to be confirmed0 -
I feel fortunate that so many people care about how I'm doing day to day, and stand in the gap when the going gets tough. I also feel hugely thankful that I have this stupid disease in Britain where we get health care readily and free at the point of delivery- my doctor son did a work placement in the USA in an A & E dept where they asked about health insurance before anyone got any treatment!!!! Thank heavens for the NHS, whatever its weaknesses it's there for everyone regardless og wealth or status.0

I feel very fortunate because I still feel useful and loved and I still have my sense of humour.

Traluvie had a similar thread a while back so I've bumped it up. Called 'A positive thing about arthur....'If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
