How Helpful is the Helpline?

I just want to talk to someone, voice to voice, who understands my fear and concerns about a diagnosis.

Can the helpline do this? Or is it more for people with particular questions, looking for advice?
Life is just a ride. Up and down, round and around, thrills and chills, very brightly coloured and very loud. But don't ever be afraid, because it is just a ride.

This is exactly what the helpline is for. I've used it many times - I don't think I'd have got through the last few years without them. Do call.

    Thanks. Xx

    I think I will call.

I'm in agony tonight. I can't sit or lie down or stand for any length of time. My knees and hip (hip randomly started hurting lots tonight!) are so painful and it's driving me a bit loopy.

I hope this hip pain isn't the beginnings of something permenant too... I'm close to tears with trying to find a way to be comfortable! Not tears of pain so much as tears of frustration!

It was the helpline that I rang 1st and they suggested I took a look at the forum and that's how I came across these amazing people! The helpline also helped me by answering any questions I had and also sent me relevent leaflets that would help me. Really great bunch of people on the other end of the phone. Glad I did call.

I have just phoned and they have been very helpful indeed. I will be getting some information through the post about the different types of Arthritis and they said to phone again once I have a diagnosis and they can send out more detailed information about it.

Also shed some light on a community care assesment which I have not heard any info about before.

So very helpful indeed! Thanks! I'm glad I phoned. xxx
