Oh dear, you sound as though you are struggling, I am so sorry. Have you started sulph? That was my first prescribed med and I thought all my troubles would be over - until early 2002 my experience of meds was that the creams for the eczema and the brand-spanking-new inhalers for the asthma 'solved' those problems, i.e the relief was pretty thorough and easily topped-up. Then arthritis began, life was not so easily sorted and it remains so to this day. It's far from fun, Soraya, we all know that. The only trouble I can see with 'one normal' day is just that we don't need one, we need every day to be like that but I fear those days are gone. I am so sorry, I hope your rheumatologist can help in some way. DD

i have posted horrible stuff about my own experience with sulfasalazine but from my own research it seemed to be a really good drug to take with less harmful long term effects than some of the other dmards

although the side effects have beaten me for now, i defo think they were making a very slight difference to the swelling in all my joints.

i am not good with the sick/dizzy/vertigo stuff and thats why i stopped but i do know they dont affect everyone like that. someone i spoke to said they took paracetamol for the headaches they experienced but im on them already and so didnt have that benefit.

good luck cos i think this isnt a bad drug, just misunderstood lol
