Well, on the plus side he is going for tests and that is a good thing. Deafness is not an easy thing to accept especially when related to ageing, which his may be: somehow spectacles are more 'socially acceptable' than hearing aids but I think that is because glasses can be so precisely tailored - aids cannot. Well, not yet. I hope someone can help and that he is able to readily accept that help. Good luck my lovely. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Back home after hearing test ,he has to have two hearing aids ,hearing is right down on left side which is the one affected by the stroke,we were told work relate noise did damage as well ,he used to work in printing, has to have a fitting in three weeks and should get them three weeks after that.
didnt go for a burger went for a pub lunch instead, you are a rowdy lot with a glass or two down your necks.Mig

Poor Mr Mig, I hope he isn't too upset about it. At least you know what's what and the aids should help, though I understand that they can take a bit of getting used to as they amplify everything. Hope the lunch was good and I apologise for the rugby songs which were floating out from your pockets. They were entirely my fault.
