    Hi,

With dla you have to keep trying, also get as much paperwork concerning your disability.
You have to be descriptive in your answer of how your problem's affect your everyday needs i ended up getting help from citizen's advice.

    Good luck.

did you have to go for a medical and did you appeal the decision?

dont just take there word for it.. if you can send in anything that will support you all the better.

Hello Linda, I too have OA but have not been prescribed those tablets. It is very hard to say how you will get on with them as what suits one person may not suit another but one thing I would stress is that side-effects are not guaranteed. As for DLA it seems to be very hard nowadays to be granted that on the initial application, do you know why they are continually turning you down? Which part have you applied for? DD

    Hi there

temgesic is the same as my patches I think buprenorphine (sp). I was a wee bit woozy day one, but fine after that. May also need to up your fruit intake or have a glass of prune juice occaisionally?

    Love and luck

    Hi Linda
Sadly, it seems that the majority of cases are now turned down for DLA although many appeal and win. Some people don't realise it's all about the extra help you need to function, about what your limitations are and how your disability impacts on your life. You must continually stress this when filling in forms and remember that they are looking for as much detail as possible. From next year claimants will have to have a medical to be assessed and if the esa medicals are anything to go by, most people won't be able to get dla. As if having arthritis isn't stressful enough !

    Take care
