Pocket duties...

Hi all,
Apologies for my continued absence, I've had a really awful time lately, a combination of wildly flaring PA, a bad reaction to pregabalin that caused jaundice and a then a very sudden loss which caused anaemia, all within a couple of weeks.
I'm getting there, it will take time I know. My family are wonderful as are my friends and a huge support, but the reason I need pocket duties today is that I'm attending a close friends wedding today. It's the first time I've been out since things went so disastrously wrong, and I'm still very tired and weak. I know it will be a wonderful day, and my lovely hubby will be on hand as always, the service will be a full mass which will last well over an hour then photo's then reception...i will be using 'Doris my walking stick and 'Betsy' the wheelchair ofcourse, but id just like to last as long as i can and see the happy couple off.
If you wouldn't mind hopping into my pocket today, I promise to sneak in lots of wedding cake and plenty of bubbly for supplies
Thankyou all, and a huge Thankyou to the lovely DD for your kind message yesterday, you reminded me of the many kind friends i have here on the forum, Thanks again Xxx

It was a lovely start to the day seeing your name on here, Poppy. I hope you have a lovely, not-too-tiring day and that it is the start of better things to come.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Strewth, somehow I timed that well! Yes, it's going to be a long day by the sounds of things but I am sure it will fly past, don't push yourself too hard my lovely, and enjoy every moment. I'll decline the cake and bubbly if you don't mind, DD's gone tubby. ((())) xxHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Poppy,
Sorry to be late for pocket duties
I hope you had a great time today at the wedding. It sounds to me like you really need some cheering up after all that horrible time you had recently.

Hi all, huge thanks to all of you lovely people for pocket duties today, your support really did help me keep going.
It was a wonderful wedding, my friend looked utterly gorgeous, and both she and her new husband were beaming with happiness all day.
I do admit to having a little cry as she walked down the aisle, but they were tears of joy, and thankfully i had brought plenty of tissues
I lasted untill the start of the dancing in the evening, by then I was really feeling the pain despite the oramorph, Celebrex and pred, but I was so happy to have lasted as long as I did, I couldn't have coped without you lovely pocket dwellers I'm sure, the support on this forum is second to none. I hope everyone enjoyed the full buffet, wedding cake, bubbly and pots of tea I provided?
Much love, hugs and thanks to you all Xxx'grá agus solas'

I'm very pleased indeed that you had a good day, Poppy. If you lasted until the dancing, you certainly had a long day if my recent experiences of weddings are anything to go by. Well done you...and oromorph....and pred....and celebrex!
Now, you know exactly what I'm going to say next so I won't say it but DO IT - today, tomorrow and for as long as it takes. (())If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I'm so pleased that you managed to enjoy yourself so much, deserved to...
How did we look on the dancefloor?? All I know is that I have bruises all over my legs from DD's clackerator
And thank you so much for getting pots of tetley tea on the go
I shall third the R word my dear Popster......Me-Tony
