I am 29 and been told that i am really young to have ra. but how many people actually have it?

Hey I have just been diagnosed with RA, I am 23...
I have to say I am struggling to keep the pain and exhaustion under control with full time job... so I feel about 80 atm!!

I must admit i am fighting the fatigue its been a week now i feel 200 yrs today .0 -
I was diagnosed at 19, I'm now 24.
It is estimated that about 640,000 people in the UK have RA. About 1% of the population. Of that, 25,000 are children under the age of 18 and about 20% are young people under the age of 30, if memory serves me correctly.0 -
The stats are horrid whatever way you look at them. I was 23 when the symptoms first started. Took 2 years to get a diagnosis because my GP didn't believe me and said I was too young. I moved GP....they listened and got me referred.
That was 11 years ago now...

Hey, Im 18 and have suffered for 6years diagnosed for 4years so i guess im one of those statistics feel about 60 at times :P0
