I never snored until R.A was well established. Now it wakes me up and I have a constant dry throat so I'm struggling to breathe at times and sleep with raised pillows.

I don't expect you will be the only on Sheila

People say I snore but I don't believe them!

I say I have Arthritis and people don't believe me! :)

Could be something in this story!

Colin, I think I am no longer with us too, given the percentages, have Arthur, COPD, heart disease, to mention but three. I snore like a warthog apparently, oh dear, I give up, there is no hope.

Now this is really interesting reading.

As I am currently having a bad flare up at the moment and
my husband says I have been snoring heavily at night.

I wonder if the 2 are connected? lol

Aren't snoring and sleep apnoea different things? I thnk that with SA you do 'stop' breathing but snoring is caused by one of the palates (soft or hard, I can never remember) relaxing and blocking the airway. It is possible to be a snorer without arthritis, equally it is possible to be a snorer with arthritis. Mr DD is the former, I am the latter. I would like to know why I don't wake myself up, that's much more of a mystery than why I have arthritis! DD
