I went, it was brilliant
people there ranged from able bodied to players with paralysis and everything in between. Apparently there is a teenager at the club with JIA although I didn't see him today.
I played for nearly three hours, my hands are ripped to shreds and I'm lying in bed with a hot water bottle on my back but it was so worth it. I haven't had that buzz and excitement in so long and mentally it felt great. I am definitely going back next week

Wow! Fan-dabby-dozy! Deep respect, harlansmummy, that took some nerve but you did it and no-one can take that away from you. Three hours though? I can't do anything for three hours - not even talking!
Rest up now, maybe stuff'll hurt tomorrow but oh boy! It's worth it! DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

Think adrenalin may have made me overdo it a bit... Feel like a zombie now  but mentally still buzzing. Feeling so much more positive, I have given up a lot over the last few years and it feels very, very good to find sonething new.Twenty-something mother, home educating my wonderful son and currently TTC.

Well done you, I can feel your excitement,I did see them on the TV and cant quite believe how fast they turn those chairs.
Now you have something like that to look forward to, and it will keep you fit.
You will be sore but has time goes on the pain will get less.xxLove

I am really pleased for you. My daughter age 10 is a wheelchair user and started playing wheelchair tennis two weeks ago, she loves it and can't wait for her next session tomorrow.
Sport is the best medicine for disabled people as long as it's within limits.
Keep on keeping on0
