Pocket Duties Please 9th July 2012

Hi

Please can I request some pocket duties for next monday as im off to see my specialist in Wigan to see if he will put me on the waiting list for TKR...Those that know me will know its been a long struggle, 2 years in fact, seeking second opinion, losing weight, a fair few falls recently, to be considered at all...
Anyhow me and my dad are off there next monday and it would mean a lot to me to have some moral support....I was supposed to wait till end of September but what with the falls I just feel i dont want to wait anymore to get the chance to recover...They see me as too young of course (43) and that i will wear the joint out in 7-8years....
Im babbling arent I....Please folks if you could be brill?

Hi Elaine,
Never been to Wigan. Will be in your pocket for sure. Don't let them put you off because of your age. They do operate on a lot younger than you.

Losing weight and then still being told you are too young
I know thats usually a compliment but not in this case
I've never understood that rule......why not let you get the most out of life when you are young if you really need a replacement :shock:

Wigan had to go to A*da and change 3 thousand pairs of pjs onto different hangers as our factory in turkey had packed them wrong :roll:

Wigan isnt that far from Liverpool, its junction 27 on m6....

Thanks for contributing to the fast filling pocket! I know they operate younger than me, normally when its a sports injury they favour that becuase it cant be helped but neither can arthritis!

Yes the age thing doesnt make sense to me, of course its largely to do with cost also, ie if im in my 70's i may croak it before would need another! I want to live my life again!
