Well I have just started a bad flare up yesterday.

Was doing fine up until about 3pm and then I felt as if I hit a brick wall and my energy left me and I had to go to bed. Slept until 5pm got up, had tea, watched a bit telly and then when back to bed around 9pm and slept again.

Managed to make into work this morning but really suffering from fagitue in a big way.

Sometimes I really hate this disease!!!! :x

Strewth, DK, only sometimes you hate it? You're a better man than me, Gunga Din - I hate it all the bl**dy time.

Arthritis will find its way to harm, hurt and irritate no matter what meds are being thrown at it, sadly 'tis a fact of our arthritic lives. We think we're doing fine then WHAM it chooses to remind us that it's still there, lurking in the shadows, thumbing its nose at us. Well done to you for making it into work, but please don't do more than you have to, take things as gently as possible (is any delegation a possibility?) and I hope that things begin to feel better soon. Take care, rest when you can but don't make matters worse by pushing yourself too hard, OK? ((())) DD

From one Deborah to another- hugs and blessings. I too hate this disease and all the rubbish that goes with it- not least the fatigue which makes me feel like I live some kind of half life of perpetual compromise. Hope that you soon get some relief, try to be gentle with yourself and let others help you.
    Take care.

I'm sorry, DK. It is horrible when it strikes out of the blue. All credit to you for getting yourself to work but take care and try not to overdo things.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Deb, Wow I came down with a flare up yesterday as well! My lower back, hips and left leg. I'm trying to stay off the Oro-morph until at night and OH just tries getting me comfortable during day until he gets home from work. I just have to keep busy to take my mind off the pain! I went to bed early last night and had some Oro-morph I was fine until it must of wore off because I was up and down in the early hours and I gave up after a while and saw it was 5.20am on the clock so I got dressed and went into what was Bubba's room now just a spare room where my 'piggins' are all 201 of them and they needed a clean and have been cleaning them when I feel up to it. So managed to clean 3 before the alarm went off at 6.55am. I was impressed with myself to clean 3 piggins while suffering with a flare up! I hope you don't suffer for to long Deb, I really hate flare ups!!
