well folks, I've been reserving judgement whilst the pain from the procedure wore off. That had mostly gone now, I'm still flaring a bit from last week BUT....
The back pain I've had for all these years seems to have gone  Killing those nerves seems to have done the trick at last..
I'm a happy chappy. I do want to ask the consultant if the procedure was meant to be as painful as it was.. I don't think they used enough local anaesthetic myself.. Never mind though..
I truly hope this lasts.. I've had that pain for more years than I haven't! I will not miss it that's for sure..
Now, just to work on the rest lol

Thank you to everyone for your support.. Very much appreciated.
:D

What brilliant news, Tony! :P The treatment seems to have worked like magic despite all the pain inflicted on you in the process. It must be wonderful for you to be without that pain in your back after such a long time. I'm so pleased for you. Now just let's hope they can sort out your knees next.

    thanks everyone.. :D
I have to realise that the original pain can come back worse than before still, and then subside. Also still have the pain from the procedure but I just had to let you know that today the original pain is not there :D:D

Joan, it's lovely to see you again hun. I'll reply to the pm later. I'm gearing myself up to go pick Janet up.

As I say, it can be expected to get worse before getting better so I'm not getting too excited lol

thank you all ever so much..
It's rather strange at the minute, if I ignore the obvious nerve pain caused by the procedure.......
Nothing :o and I honestly don't remember what this feels like lol..
The pain fella said that they can't do the same on the knees because then I wouldn't be able to walk lol..

I've been for J from work, this is the longest I've been sat since having it done and it's not frayed nerve friendly... I need to lay down again..
    I'm still happy though :D
when the procedure pain wears off (could be a couple of weeks I think) if I'm left as I am that will be wonderful... The procedure was awful, but I am just being honest and don't want to put anybody off having similar done. I really do believe that it should not have been as painful as it was.. I was given no warning of the pain etc. the pain people are always great that way..mind you, it was a different fella to the specialist I usually have..
I will be asking that question at the review in a few months time.

Tony, during my first pregnancy the arthritis just beggured off completely. It felt as you've just described - wonderful but weird. Everything was so easy. I enjoyed every minute of it but I never quite got 'used to' that painfree feeling.

whilst truly valuing your opinion dearest Sticky. I shall stay clear of getting pregnant lol.
It really is weird.. I felt this way after my first steroid injections in the knees. They felt better than they had in twenty yrs. Only lasted a month though

    Hi Tony
I am soo glad your back is feeling better, gosh I can only imagine how you feel..nervous but happy.
When I had the disc injected in my spine it was painful, one was bearable but I had three...what I am getting at,the nurse that was on said I should have asked for a relaxant ...sorry mi brains gone..but she said they used to sought of put you semi under, they stopped doing this because they can get through them quicker and do more people....it should not be that painful.
Anyway I have everything crossed here for you x
    Love
    Barbara

    thanks Fols... :D

Sticky, oh go on, I'll give it a go, just the once though lol...

Barbara, thank you hun. They only used local anaesthetic and he kept topping it up. Still want enough. I had four nerves done, not sure what they are called though.. I'm useless at stuff like that..
I had some had and air halfway through but I was too spaced out to answer his questions. He needed to know when I felt the shock in my back.
I know I'm no lightweight when it comes to pain, do I was shocked.. Maybe I'm getting soft in mi old age lol...

Thanks Den. Hope you're doing well.
