Hi Folks

Hope you are well .I'm having a flare up or the start of one .Back was killing me on friday spent most of the afternoon lying on the floor in the office  .Have been taking co dycodamol which has helped and i managed through the weekend .
Pain has gone but my back is on fire also my left hip .What rotten luck .
I spoke to bubba this evening and she confirmed that it is a start of a flare thanks Bubba . Sorry to be so green as this is all new to me . :?
I have asked for more pain killers from the docs , receptionist will make a note of it as i have to pick up my meth but i just might go on down there and see someone anyway ,
Thought i was doing well :o just goes to show Arthur does not give a *oss where he goes and barges in where ever he likes stinky rotter.
thanks for reading
fowls .xx

Oh dear! I remember you saying you'd spent Friday afternoon lying on your back on the floor. I'm sorry it's got worse rather than better, Fowls.

However, yYour GP can only prescribe pain relief and, if this is a flare, it might need more than that. Why not ring the rheumatology helpline for advice?

I hope you feel better soon.

Well, I've just been on Chit Chat and all I can say is, if you had that frenchman with you, I'm not surprised you enjoyed it

But do give rheumatology a buzz tomorrow. Then let's know how it's going.

If I remember rightly, Fowls, you are in the early stages of meth and that can take a while to kick in, meanwhile the arthritis will still be 'alive and kicking' as you are finding out. :( Flares come and go but in the meantime you have to look after yourself. Rest whenever you can, keep up with the medications, keep hydrated, eat a good diet and I hope you soon feel better. DD

Is there any way you can take some time off? Flares are not to be messed about with and the longer one tries to push through the longer they can last. Arthritis does spread but it could be that your back and shoulders are aching because you are either holding yourself or moving differently: which bits usually hurt? DD

Hi there, Karen. How's it going today? Sometimes these things seem to come and go quickly irrespective of what we do to make them better or worse but don't just soldier on for too long. (You'll get a reputation if you're always lying on the floor  )

My dear Karen, how are you today? I enjoyed our chat yesterday afternoon! And Phil (OH) cross questioned me about you after you came off the phone! So your now the mystery women!! Hope the meth is starting to kick in. I agree with DD If you can you really should take a couple days sick, you really need to rest up you don't want the 'flare up' to get angry! Really cheered me up chatting with you yesterday afternoon, I ment it we must do it again soon!

Oh what lovely names! Lily, Minnie and May, those are very much names of their generation aren't they? I am coaching a Lily (she's just turned 10) I think these older-fashioned names are coming back in.

I don't know what you do but it sounds as though your Boss is trying to understand what is going on - I hope that's the case. Enjoy your day tomorrow, please take things as gently as you can and I hope you all have a grand time. DD
