For me, this weather is most definitely playing havoc with enjoying pottering in the garden and being at the allotment. :(

I enjoyed the sunshine slot this afternoon, even had time to get the cushions out for the chairs and sit round the table in the garden and take tea and cake with relatives. :) Did not bother with the umbrella, got to get the rays when one can! We knew it would not last and it did not.

Did manage to trim the ivy round the raised bed so can tick one chore off the long list. As to how it affects my arthritis, makes no difference really. I do feel less lethargic when it is not so hot though. ;) Every cloud has a silver lining!

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Please can we have some sunshine!?!

Hi Baby, I 100% agree this changable weather has something to do with starting my flare up! As this flare up is slightly different to to my normal ones. This one seemed to effect 3 area's firstly then spread to another 2 area's. Where normally when I have a flare up it hits the area's all in one hit. Hope this attack clears up quickly for you.

I'm sorry you're all struggling in this weather. I have been swollen and flarey too. When it's hot and muggy, I find ice packs are really useful. Helps with feeling hot too!

    Hi all, I'm new :)

I've also been worse with the damp and chill (OA in hip) but on the plus side the rain means there are less people to dodge in the street! Because I limp I always find people veer into my path because they obviously can't tell where I'm heading, so at least that's one good thing about the rain!

Me too! Spent half the day in bed yesterday due to the pain of the extra swelling. All my normal joints that swell (fingers/hands, wrist, elbow, knee, ankle and toes/feet) all swelled up together. Hopefully it'll be a bit more settled today and we'll all be more comfortable!
    Take care all, Rick xx

It's dreadful here as well...I thought we were going to have a monsoon as well yesterday....today its raining quite hard but doesnt seem as bad as yesterday.
It does affect my joints....makes me more achey......but not much worse.
The sun makes me feel much better.....the sun not humidity

Yes yes yes yes! I thought stopping the methotrexate would be best done over summer - you know when that warm and dry weather tends to make it all a bit calmer...I could emigrate right now.
Hey little fighter, things will get brighter
